Manzi, Giorgio
Full professor at the Sapienza University of Rome, where he is director of the G. Sergi Museum of Anthropology and teaches in the Faculty of Sciences, in that of Medicine, in the School of Specialization in Archaeological Heritage and in the PhD in Environmental and Evolutionary Biology. Corresponding member of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, he was general secretary of the Italian Institute of Human Paleontology, director of the Polo museale Sapienza and associate editor of the American Journal of Physical Anthropology. His scientific activity includes aspects of functional morphology, human evolution and the biology of ancient human populations. As a scientific writer, he collaborates with newspapers, magazines, radio and TV broadcasts: his monthly column in "Le Scienze" (It. ed. of Scientific American) is well known; among the books: "Il grande racconto dell'evoluzione umana" (Il Mulino 2013), "Ultime notizie sull'evoluzione umana" (Il Mulino 2017).
