    Aims: 

    The course introduces participants to the knowledge of technical and management aspects of temporary cultural events and explores the processes involved in developing that concept into a concrete exhibition project. Topics include exhibition organization planning and scheduling, financial and administrative aspects, liaising with other museums and loans procedures, insurance, preservation problems and transportation methods as well as visitor engagement, intellectual and physical accessibility, sustainability and copyright. Emerging best-practice models, frameworks and tools are introduced and discussed in depth through case studies; interactive workshops encourage students to acquire problem-solving skills.
    The student will be able to acquire knowledge about:

    • role and functions of the Ministry of heritage, cultural activities and tourism and of Italian and foreign museums and cultural institutions, with particular reference to the realization of artistic and cultural events;
    • tools and methodologies for the feasibility analysis of a project and the realization of an artistic and cultural event.
    Course organization: 

    The course includes a series of lectures, together with workshops on specific themes. The course includes a series of lectures, supplemented by workshops and in-depth videos and quick comprehension tests.
