    Profile: 

    Federica Spagnoli is a member of the Archaeological Mission in Mozia of Sapienza University since 2002, where she holds the role of director of the laboratory of pottery and small finds. At Sapienza University of Rome, she obtained the PhD in Oriental Archeology in 2008 with Paolo Matthiae and Lorenzo Nigro, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Archeology (II) in 2009 with Lorenzo Nigro, discussing a thesis in Phoenician-Punic Archeology. In the same university she continued her scientific and academic career in the role of Post-Doc with teaching assignments, and she is currently a TDB researcher in Phoenician-Punic Archeology (L-OR/06). Her main field of study concerns the Phoenician culture of the East and its diffusion in the Mediterranean with a particular focus on material culture. Another area of research concerns the archeology of the sacred and the religious aspects of Phoenician culture related to the phenomena of syncretism with the Etruscan and Greek cultures, and with native colonial realities.
