Terribili, Gianfilippo
Gianfilippo Terribili is Research Associate at the Dipartimento di Scienze dell’antichità (DiSA) – Sapienza University of Rome. His primary interests entail the historical context of ancient Iran and, more specifically, the development of the Zoroastrian tradition within the cross-cultural framework of Late Antiquity and early-Islamic period. Meanwhile, his studies include the Pahlavi literature and Sasanian epigraphy. Since 2006, he takes part in projects and archaeological campaigns focused on the study and preservation of the cultural heritage in the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan. In this framework, he has carried out fieldwork related to the monument of king Narseh (293-302 CE) at Paikuli and its bilingual inscription (Middle Persian and Parthian). In 2018 he joined DiSA research projects in Iran (Kermanshah province).
