Vanzetti, Alessandro
Alessandro VANZETTI is associate professor of prehistory and protohistory at Sapienza, formerly officer at the Prehistoric Etnographic Museum “L.Pigorini” of the Italian Ministry of Culture (1999-2002). He has been elected member of the Executive Board of the European Association of Archaeologists (2014-2020) and since 2017 he is corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute.
He directed excavations and research on protohistoric contexts, among which at Broglio near Trebisacce (CS) and Cannatello (AG), a Sapienza Grande Scavo di Ateneo. He has also dedicated himself to the politics of archeology and the management of the archaeological heritage, designing and realizing museum exhibitions (Museum of the Brettii and Enotri in Cosenza, National Archaeological Museum in Reggio Calabria, protohistoric section) and the archaeological Park at Broglio near Trebisacce (CS).
