    Aims: 

    The course aims to show the tools for understanding the archaeological source in the study of the multifaceted religious world of Late Antiquity. At the end of the course the student should be able to:
    1) know the peculiarities of each Late Antique religion (traditional religion, Judaism, Christianity, Mithraism and other mystery religions, imperial cult, etc.);
    2) approach religious phenomenology with the specific attentions derived from archaeological methodology;
    3) The course deals with the problems of Late Antique mystery religions and Mithraism in particular.
