Raccomandazioni dalla JCU University di Mainz per studenti incoming
Dear exchange student,
We are happy that you want to study at JGU, and have been nominated by your home university for the winter semester 2020/21.
We want to offer our support in organizing your exchange semester.
Exchange semester in times of Corona
The winter semester 2020/21 will be affected by the corona virus as well. No one knows what the situation will look like in Mainz/
Germany/ worldwide in October.
At JGU, we hope to offer at least some lectures on campus and some of our exchange students will be able to come and study on our
campus in Mainz.
However, the semester will certainly not be a “normal” one.
It is going to be a mix of different types of courses – online lectures, blended learning, live courses, etc.
Therefore please get in touch as soon as possible with your academic advisor in your field of study at JGU in order to find out if andhow many courses your department will offer on campus. Then you can reach a decision as to whether you should travel to Mainzand study at JGU physically in the winter semester.
All the information we are sending you is valid as of today (mid of June 2020). It is possible that we may have to make changes to the
information given here. In that case we will send you the updated version as soon as possible.
